Vakıfbank

This project, which we started to completely solve the water leakage problem on the terrace of Vakıfbank, was realized with meticulous planning and expert teamwork. The terrace area of approximately 400 square meters was exposed to water leaks that negatively affected the bank's operations and had the potential to cause structural damage. Our aim was to ensure that the bank could provide services in peace by providing a long-lasting, durable and aesthetic waterproofing solution. When we started our work, the condition of the existing ceramic surface was examined in detail. The ceramics were gently sanded using a diamond-tipped light sanding machine to remove the shine on the surface and ensure better adhesion of the new coating. This process roughened the surface, preparing the ground for the epoxy primer to adhere perfectly to the ground. Cracked or damaged ceramics were identified and repaired with special filling materials. In this way, the entire surface was made smooth and solid. After the surface preparation was completed, epoxy primer was applied as the first layer. Epoxy primer filled the pores of the surface, creating an ideal base for pure polyurea coating. The excellent adhesion property of the epoxy primer formed the basis for the long life of the waterproofing system. After the primer dried, it was time for the application of 2 mm thick pure polyurea, which is the heart of our project. Pure polyurea is an ideal waterproofing material for terraces thanks to its superior elasticity, high tear resistance and chemical resistance. The polyurea, which was applied by spraying method, covered the surface perfectly, penetrated even the finest cracks and created a waterproof barrier. Finally, aliphatic paint was applied to increase resistance to UV rays and provide an aesthetic appearance. Aliphatic paint shows high resistance to the harmful effects of the sun, preserving the color and properties of the polyurea coating for many years. Thus, Vakıfbank's terrace not only became waterproof, but also gained a modern and stylish appearance. Thanks to the high-quality materials used and meticulous workmanship, the project achieved a success beyond expectations, and the water leakage problem on Vakıfbank's terrace was permanently solved.
