Located in the peaceful atmosphere of Turkcell Platinum Park, the forest house terrace dazzled with its aesthetics and harmony with nature, but water insulation problems were threatening this pleasant area. Our aim was to both visually improve this terrace and permanently solve the water leakage problem. For this reason, we determined the most suitable materials and application methods by making a detailed analysis. When starting our project, we first carefully examined the condition of the existing ceramic floor. We used a diamond-tipped light grinding machine to remove the gloss from the ceramic surface and prepare the surface for application. This process would ensure that the epoxy primer adhered better to the floor. After repairing broken and damaged ceramics, we applied the epoxy primer. The epoxy primer ensured that the floor was leveled and formed the basis of the waterproofing. High adhesion properties and water resistance were at the forefront of our epoxy primer selection. When we came to the heart of the waterproofing, we switched to the application of 2 mm thick pure polyurea. Polyurea prevented loss of time thanks to its rapid curing property, and thanks to its high elasticity, it adapted to the movements of the floor and minimized the risk of cracking. This was a critical step that would guarantee the longevity of the terrace. One of the biggest factors in choosing Polyurea was its superior resistance to UV rays and weather conditions. Finally, we applied aliphatic paint as an aesthetic and protective layer. Thanks to its high resistance to UV rays, aliphatic paint preserved its color for a long time and also protected the surface against external factors. This paint improved the overall appearance of the terrace and harmonized with the natural beauty of the forest house. The water-repellent property of aliphatic paint created a water insulation-supporting layer, extending the life of the terrace. Our project not only solved the water leakage problem, but also significantly increased the aesthetics and service life of the terrace. Our customer now has a terrace that is both visually satisfying and can be used safely for many years. This project, which we successfully completed, once again proved the importance of choosing the right material and a meticulous application process.
