The Panasonic project was initiated to provide a definitive solution to the water leakage problem experienced on the terraces, covering an area of 1200 square meters. The starting point of this important project was a detailed analysis of the current condition of the terraces. By examining the existing ceramic surfaces, the source of the water leakage and the extent of the damage were determined. Our aim was not only to stop the water leakage but also to provide a long-lasting solution while preserving the aesthetic appearance of the terraces. Therefore, we acted meticulously in the selection of materials. As a first step, a surface leveling process was carried out with a diamond-tipped light grinding machine to remove the gloss from the existing ceramic surface and prepare the surface for the new application. This process laid the foundation for waterproofing by ensuring better adhesion of the epoxy primer to the surface. Cracked and damaged ceramics were carefully repaired, and the floor was leveled, thus achieving a homogeneous surface. Subsequently, an epoxy primer application was performed. The epoxy primer prepared an ideal base for the pure polyurea application by filling the pores of the surface and increasing adhesion. The reason for choosing the epoxy primer was its excellent adhesion property and superior performance in surface preparation. The 2 mm thick pure polyurea application, which is the heart of the waterproofing, was carried out by high-pressure spraying method. Thanks to its excellent elasticity and impermeability, pure polyurea provided resistance against expansion and contraction that may occur on the terraces. This material also offered high resistance to UV rays, chemicals, and abrasion, promising trouble-free use for many years. Finally, aliphatic paint was applied to complete the aesthetic appearance of the terraces and increase UV resistance. Aliphatic paint created a surface with high color stability, resistance to weather conditions, and easy cleaning. The Panasonic project achieved great success by providing a permanent and aesthetic solution to the water leakage problem on the terraces. Thanks to the high quality of the materials used and the meticulous work of our expert team, the terraces have been made safe to use for many years. The project once again demonstrated the importance of choosing the right materials and application techniques in waterproofing.
