Factory floors are like the heart of industrial facilities. For the uninterrupted continuation of production, these floors must be durable, safe, and long-lasting. With this awareness, we brought to life the Mita factory flooring project, covering an area of 1200 square meters. Our aim was to create a floor that would be highly resistant to heavy use, heavy loads, and potential chemical spills within the factory, providing trouble-free service for many years. To achieve this goal, we meticulously planned every detail, from material selection to application stages. As a first step, we used a diamond-tipped grinding machine to prepare the existing concrete floor. This process removed imperfections on the surface, allowing the coating to adhere better to the concrete. Then, we applied an epoxy primer to reduce the floor's absorbency and create an ideal surface for the polyurea coating. In addition to its excellent adhesion properties, the epoxy primer partially protects the floor against chemicals, extending the life of the coating. The lifeblood of the project is the 2mm thick pure polyurea coating we applied. Polyurea is an ideal material for industrial floor coatings due to its flexibility, high abrasion resistance, and fast curing properties. Its readiness for use within a few hours after application allowed us to minimize disruption to factory production. Another important factor in choosing polyurea is its ability to maintain performance in wide temperature ranges. In this way, the floor coating will perform its function smoothly for many years without being affected by temperature changes in different parts of the factory. Finally, we applied aliphatic paint to give the floor coating an aesthetic appearance and make it more resistant to UV rays. Aliphatic paint will ensure that the factory floor coating looks as good as new for many years, as it has high color stability and is resistant to scratches. The Mita project is a perfect example of how factory floors can be made long-lasting, safe, and aesthetic with the right material selection and professional application.
