LC Waikiki

We set out to find a permanent solution to the water leakage problems experienced on the terraces of LC Waikiki. This project was not just a terrace renovation, but also a strategic investment that would extend the life of the building, increase interior comfort, and strengthen the brand image. Our goal was to make the building's terraces waterproof, durable, and aesthetically pleasing. The first step was to thoroughly examine the existing terrace surface. After identifying the damages and potential problems in the existing floor, the most appropriate solution methods were evaluated. Our decision was to apply a system with superior waterproofing properties, long-lasting, and aesthetic appearance on the entire terrace. Our application process consisted of meticulously planned steps. First, the concrete floor was roughened with a special diamond-tipped grinding machine. This process improved the overall performance of the system by ensuring better adhesion of the subsequent layers to the floor. After the grinding process, dust and residues on the surface were cleaned and epoxy primer application was started. The epoxy primer played a critical role in increasing the adhesion of the polyurea coating and strengthening the floor by filling the pores of the floor. Then, 2 mm thick pure polyurea application was performed. Polyurea was preferred because it is an extremely flexible, durable, and waterproof material. Applied by spraying, this material perfectly covered the terrace surface, creating a barrier that prevents water passage. The rapid curing property of polyurea allowed the project to be completed in a short time. Finally, aliphatic paint was applied to protect the surface from UV rays and environmental factors. Aliphatic paint offered high color stability, a bright and aesthetic appearance, while extending the life of the polyurea coating, providing long-term protection. The color selection was determined in accordance with LC Waikiki's corporate identity. As a result of the project, LC Waikiki's terraces were completely freed from water leakage problems. Thanks to the new coating system, the terraces became more aesthetic, durable, and useful. This project was successfully completed with the right material selection, a meticulous application process, and the work of an expert team, and it more than met LC Waikiki's expectations.
