Kuveyt Turk Participation Bank's modern and functional structure aligns with its goal of maximizing customer satisfaction. Accordingly, it was crucial to cover the entrance areas of the bank's headquarters with an aesthetic and durable flooring, and to protect the terrace area with waterproofing. Our aim was to contribute to the bank's prestige by providing both visually impressive and long-lasting solutions. In this context, we combined the highest quality materials and expert workmanship in this project, which we meticulously carried out on an area of 360 square meters. We preferred epoxy flooring for the entrance areas. Epoxy provides an ideal solution for areas with heavy traffic, such as banks, due to its high durability, easy-to-clean structure, and aesthetic appearance. Before starting the application, we prepared the floor by grinding the concrete surface with a diamond-tipped grinding machine to obtain a smooth surface. Then, we applied epoxy primer to ensure better adhesion of the epoxy to the floor. After increasing the smoothness of the floor with an intermediate layer of epoxy, we applied the final layer of epoxy. Finally, we applied line paints to ensure that the stripes and other directional signs are clearly visible. The epoxy primer, intermediate epoxy layer, and final epoxy layer we used have high chemical resistance and provide durability against heavy use. In addition, its resistance to UV rays has been increased with aliphatic paint applied on it, and color fading has been prevented. For the waterproofing of the terrace area, we applied polyurea. Polyurea is the most suitable solution for areas exposed to external factors such as terraces, thanks to its excellent waterproofing properties, fast curing time, and high elasticity. As with the epoxy application, we first prepared the floor by grinding it and then applied epoxy primer. Then, we created a waterproof layer by applying 2 mm thick pure polyurea. Finally, we applied aliphatic paint to increase UV resistance and provide an aesthetic appearance. The high elasticity of pure polyurea prevents crack formation by adapting to the expansion and contraction of the floor. As a result, in the Kuveyt Turk Participation Bank project, we achieved a success beyond expectations with both our epoxy flooring and polyurea waterproofing applications. The bank management and employees were extremely satisfied with the aesthetic appearance and durability of the new floors. Thanks to the meticulous work of our expert team and the correct material selection, this project has been recorded as an exemplary success story.
