We set out to combat corrosion, the relentless enemy of metal floors in the Kelloggs factory. This project was not just a floor coating job, but also a strategic investment that would contribute to the longevity of the factory and the smooth continuation of production processes. Our goal was to forever save metal surfaces from the destructive effects of corrosion. Our first step was to prepare the surface. We carried out meticulous work on the factory floor with our handheld sanders. We cleaned the rust and dirt residue on the metal surfaces, creating an excellent base for coating. This stage was vital for the coating to adhere firmly to the surface and maintain its durability for many years. Due to the flexible structure of metal surfaces, we needed to use a flexible material. Then, we moved on to the solvent-based epoxy primer application. This primer was a critical layer that prepared the metal surface for polyurethane coating and created an additional barrier against corrosion. The solvent-based epoxy primer was chosen because of its excellent adhesion properties and its ability to protect metal surfaces from corrosion. After the primer dried, it was time for our main hero, the polyurethane floor coating. Polyurethane was an ideal choice for this project due to its flexible structure and chemical resistance. It provided superior protection against the loads the floor would be constantly exposed to and potential chemical spills. Our application team carefully spread the polyurethane on the floor and made sure that every corner was coated evenly. In addition to protecting the metal surface from corrosion, the polyurethane coating created a more hygienic and easy-to-clean floor. Finally, we completed the project by applying an aliphatic paint to the surface. The aliphatic paint increased the polyurethane's resistance to UV rays, extending the life of the coating and improving the aesthetic appearance of the floor. As a result, the metal floors in the Kelloggs factory were fully protected against corrosion. The project was not just a floor coating job, but a success story that contributed to the sustainability and efficiency of the factory.
