The ornamental pools in the eye-catching garden of Fenerbahce Military House deeply felt the fatigue of years and the wear and tear of weather conditions. Revitalizing this valuable area was of great importance both aesthetically and in enriching the experience offered to the guests of the Military House. Our aim was to ensure that these pools could be used safely for many years by integrating them with a modern and durable waterproofing system. The first step of our project was the meticulous preparation of the existing concrete surface. Our skilled hands thoroughly cleaned the concrete surface with diamond-tipped grinding machines, removing the remnants of old coatings and surface roughness. This process would ensure that the new waterproofing system adhered perfectly to the concrete. Cracks and imperfections on the surface were repaired with special repair mortars to obtain a smooth surface. After the preparations, it was time for the epoxy primer application. The epoxy primer was a critical layer that filled the pores of the concrete surface, creating a waterproof barrier, and ensuring that the polyurea coating adhered more strongly to the concrete. After the primer dried, we proceeded with the application of 2mm thick pure polyurea. Polyurea is an ideal waterproofing material for areas that are constantly in contact with water, such as ornamental pools, due to its exceptional elasticity, high tear resistance, and rapid curing properties. The application was carried out by spraying, ensuring that the entire surface was completely covered. Finally, aliphatic paint was applied to complete the aesthetic appearance of the pools and protect the polyurea coating from the harmful effects of UV rays. Aliphatic paint added vitality to the pools with its high color fastness and gloss, while also providing long-lasting protection. The necessary drying times for each layer were meticulously followed, and each stage was carried out under the supervision of our expert teams. At the end of the project, the ornamental pools of Fenerbahce Military House gained a brand new look. Equipped with a waterproof, durable, and aesthetic waterproofing system, the pools had the potential to provide enjoyable moments for the guests of the Military House for many years to come. Thanks to the quality of the materials used, the meticulousness of the application, and our expertise, this project achieved a success beyond expectations.
