Protecting the brilliance and value of Ipekyolu Jewelry was not just a terrace insulation project for us, but a responsibility to carry a legacy into the future. Creating an armor against the insidious threat of rain and humidity in the 200 square meter terrace area meant securing this special place where the heart of jewelry beats. Our goal was clear: to provide waterproof, long-lasting, and aesthetically perfect insulation. Before starting the application process, the area had to be meticulously inspected and prepared. The concrete surface was smoothed with a diamond-tipped grinding machine. This process would ensure that the primer adhered perfectly to the surface, forming the foundation of the insulation. Then, epoxy primer application was started. Epoxy primer is a critical component that acts as a bridge, reducing the absorbency of the surface and allowing the polyurea to adhere better. The reason for our choice was the excellent adhesion of the epoxy primer to concrete and the preparation of an ideal base for the layers to come. It was time for the pure polyurea application, the heart of the project. This material, applied at a thickness of 2mm, is truly revolutionizing waterproofing. The unique properties of polyurea, its flexibility, tear resistance, and rapid curing time made it an ideal choice. Thanks to its high resistance to UV rays, chemicals, and abrasion, it would maintain its initial performance for many years. The application of polyurea by spraying onto the surface guaranteed a perfect fit even to the most complex geometries, ensuring that not even the smallest gap remained. In the final step, aliphatic paint was applied. Aliphatic paint would protect the polyurea from UV rays, extending its life, while also giving the space an aesthetic appearance. The color selection was made to create an elegant and modern atmosphere, in harmony with the corporate identity of Ipekyolu Jewelry. At the end of the project, the 200 square meter terrace area was fully protected against water and weather conditions. Ipekyolu Jewelry had invested not only in the quality of its products but also in the quality and safety of its space. This project is the best example of how a successful insulation solution can be achieved with the right material selection, meticulous application, and an expert team coming together.
