This project, named 'Ford,' was initiated to protect the Ford Ranger vehicles used by our Gendarmerie organization in challenging operational conditions against corrosion. Our aim was to ensure the longevity of these vehicles, thereby enhancing the operational capability of our Gendarmerie. We protected the cargo beds of 2000 Ford Ranger vehicles. This required both a large logistical operation and a meticulous application process. In material selection, we were looking for a solution that would provide the highest level of protection and withstand the most challenging conditions. Therefore, our choice was pure polyurea. Polyurea is a highly advanced coating material that stands out with its flexibility, impact resistance, impermeability, and chemical resistance. It creates an excellent barrier against corrosion, preventing rusting and wear of vehicle beds. Additionally, it adheres perfectly to the applied surface and maintains its durability for many years. Our application process began with the meticulous preparation of the cargo bed of each vehicle. The first step was roughening the existing paint with sandpaper. This would ensure better adhesion of the polyurea coating to the surface. After the sanding process was completed, the remaining parts of the vehicle were masked with protective paper, ensuring that only the cargo bed was coated. Then, we sprayed pure polyurea into the cargo bed under high pressure using our specialized equipment. This process was carried out by our experienced experts to achieve a homogeneous and thick coating. By coating an average of 60 vehicles per day, we completed our project on schedule. As a result, 2000 Ford Ranger vehicles were protected against corrosion at the highest level for our Gendarmerie organization. This project will not only extend the life of the vehicles but also contribute to the operational efficiency of our Gendarmerie. The success of our project was made possible by our correct decision in material selection, our meticulous application process, and the dedicated work of our experienced team.
