Fedbox

The Fedbox project was implemented to reinforce the ground and provide waterproofing for a 200 square meter parking area exposed to heavy vehicle traffic. The aim was to provide both an aesthetically pleasing appearance and to guarantee the longevity of the ground. This was a critical step, especially in our country, to protect against the harmful effects of water, the biggest enemy of reinforced concrete structures. The most crucial aspect of the project was the quality of the materials used and the meticulousness of the application process. Initially, a diamond-tipped hand-held grinding machine was used to prepare the existing concrete surface of the parking lot floor. This process was vital to smooth the surface and ensure better adhesion of the epoxy primer. Following the grinding process, the epoxy primer was applied. The epoxy primer acted as an excellent binder between the concrete surface and the top layers, increasing the overall durability of the system. The epoxy primer was chosen for its high adhesion properties and its ability to fill voids in the concrete surface, creating a homogeneous surface. After the primer dried, the project moved on to its most critical phase: the application of 2 mm thick pure polyurea. Pure polyurea was preferred for its exceptional physical and chemical resistance, rapid curing properties, and excellent waterproofing performance. This material protected the floor against heavy vehicle traffic, chemicals such as oil and gasoline, and variable weather conditions. The application of polyurea by spraying method ensured the formation of a seamless, monolithic surface, thus minimizing the risk of water leakage. Finally, aliphatic paint was applied to the surface. Aliphatic paint, thanks to its high resistance to UV rays and color stability, helped the floor retain its original appearance for many years. This paint also improved the aesthetic appearance of the floor and provided an easy-to-clean surface. Throughout the application process, each stage was meticulously controlled and carried out in accordance with quality standards. The project made the parking lot floor both aesthetically and functionally perfect, provided waterproofing, and extended the life of the floor. The Fedbox project proved that sustainable and durable solutions are possible in parking lot floor coverings with the right material selection and professional application.
