Dap Yapi

The waterproofing project we implemented on Dap Yapı's 4000 square meter area was critical for the structure's longevity and health. Our goal was to protect the building from the adverse effects of water, thereby enhancing the quality of life in both interior and exterior spaces. To this end, we aimed to create a durable and long-lasting waterproofing system using the latest technology and the highest quality materials. At the beginning of the project, the existing membranes were removed, and ground preparation began. The concrete surface was meticulously ground with a diamond-tipped hand grinder. This process was vital to ensure that the newly applied waterproofing system adhered perfectly to the concrete. A smooth and clean surface would directly affect the success of the waterproofing. After the ground preparation was completed, we proceeded with the application of epoxy primer as the first layer. The epoxy primer penetrated deeply into the concrete, strengthening the surface and creating an excellent base for subsequent layers. The reason for choosing epoxy primer was its high adhesion strength and chemical resistance. Then, we proceeded with the application of 2 mm thick pure polyurea, which is the heart of the waterproofing. Pure polyurea offers unique performance in waterproofing thanks to its exceptional elasticity, high tear resistance, and rapid curing properties. This material is extremely resistant to temperature changes and mechanical impacts. The spray application of polyurea ensured the formation of a complete and seamless waterproofing layer on the surface. Finally, aliphatic paint was applied to improve the aesthetic appearance of the surface and protect it against UV rays. Aliphatic paint provided a high color stability, a glossy and long-lasting surface, while protecting the polyurea layer from the harmful effects of the sun, extending the life of the waterproofing system. This entire process was meticulously managed by our expert teams, and quality control tests were carried out at every stage. As a result of the project, a waterproof, durable, and aesthetically pleasing waterproofing system was created at Dap Yapi. The goals of protecting the building from the adverse effects of water, ensuring its longevity, and improving the quality of life in the interior spaces were achieved.
