The renovation project of the parking lot floors of 212 Shopping Mall aimed to both increase the comfort of visitors and ensure the longevity of the structure. Our priority was to create a durable, aesthetic, and safe flooring solution in this area with heavy vehicle traffic. At the heart of the project was a high-performance polyurea coating system. This system is known for its superior resistance to abrasion, chemicals, and water, making it an ideal choice for challenging conditions such as parking lots. We started by meticulously preparing the existing floor surface with a diamond-tipped concrete grinding machine. This process removed all imperfections on the surface, ensuring that the polyurea coating adhered perfectly to the floor. Then, we applied a solvent-free epoxy primer to create a solid foundation for the polyurea. Choosing a solvent-free primer allowed us to minimize environmental impact and increase the coating's durability. When we applied the 2mm thick polyurea coating with a high-pressure polyurea machine, we gained time thanks to the material's rapid curing property, while obtaining a homogeneous and flawless surface. Because the polyurea coating is extremely resistant to impacts, abrasion, and chemicals, it offered a long-lasting solution for parking lot floors. Finally, we applied aliphatic paint to give the floors an aesthetic appearance and provide additional protection against UV rays. Thanks to its high resistance to color fading, the aliphatic paint guaranteed that the floor would maintain its original vibrancy for many years. This stage ensured that the project was not only functional but also visually impressive. The project was successfully completed on schedule and within budget. The parking lot floors of 212 Shopping Mall are now safer, more durable, and more aesthetic. This project has once again proven that it is possible to create durable and long-lasting flooring solutions resistant to challenging conditions with the right material selection, expert application, and meticulous workmanship.
