Wastewater Treatment Plants
Wastewater treatment plants carry a high risk of corrosion due to aggressive chemical environments and constant water contact. Reinforced concrete structures are particularly vulnerable to sulfate attacks and acidic environments. Polyurea coating provides a fast-curing, elastic solution that offers superior protection against these challenging conditions. Applied with a high-pressure polyurea machine, this system is sprayed at a temperature range of 60-85 degrees Celsius, adhering perfectly to the surface and creating a seamless, waterproof barrier. As a more durable and long-lasting solution compared to traditional methods, polyurea extends the lifespan of wastewater treatment plants and significantly reduces maintenance costs. Highly chemical-resistant polyurea provides superior protection against corrosion caused by different types of wastewater. In addition, its high elasticity allows it to adapt to structural movements and prevent cracking. Formulated in accordance with EN 1504-2 standards, our polyurea systems offer reliable performance for many years and contribute to the smooth operation of wastewater treatment plants. When combined with proper surface preparation and application techniques, polyurea coating is the best protection solution for wastewater treatment plants. Thanks to its technical properties, longevity and rapid applicability, polyurea is a cost-effective and sustainable option for wastewater treatment plants.

Polyurea Application Detail
The smooth and seamless surface of the polyurea coating offers long-lasting protection.
Application Process
Surface Preparation
Concrete surfaces are cleaned and roughened using a diamond-tipped concrete grinding machine. Dust, oil and other contaminants on the surface are removed. Surface corrections are made with repair mortar where necessary. Ensure the surface is dry and clean.
Primer Application
Solvent-free epoxy primer or polyurethane primer is applied to the surface. The primer ensures better adhesion of the polyurea coating to the surface and fills the pores on the surface. The technical specification of the primer is determined according to the polyurea system to be applied.
Polyurea Application
Polyurea is applied by spraying with a high-pressure polyurea machine at a temperature of 60-85 degrees Celsius. The application thickness is determined according to the project requirements (min 2mm). A homogeneous coating is achieved by applying in layers. Weather conditions (temperature, humidity) are taken into account during application.
Quality Control and Final Touches
After application, properties such as coating thickness, hardness and adhesion strength are checked. The project is completed after cleaning the surface and making final checks.
Application Process Summary
Polyurea application in wastewater treatment plants consists of surface preparation, primer application, polyurea spraying and quality control stages. Long-lasting and reliable protection is ensured with the right material selection and expert application.
