Armored Carriers
Armored carriers are critical for transporting personnel and equipment in military and security operations. Protecting these vehicles directly impacts personnel safety and enhances operational efficiency. Polyurea coating is a superior solution that significantly increases the durability and longevity of armored carriers. Thanks to its high impact resistance, abrasion resistance, and chemical resistance, polyurea coatings protect armored carriers against various threats. It reduces the effects of explosions, provides additional protection against ballistic threats, and prevents corrosion caused by environmental factors. Additionally, polyurea coatings lower vehicle maintenance costs and increase operational continuity. Due to its ease of application and rapid curing properties, polyurea coatings enable armored carriers to be quickly put into service. Especially military-standard polyurea formulations maximize the performance and reliability of armored carriers. Polyurea not only provides protection but also enhances personnel comfort and hygiene by creating non-slip and easy-to-clean surfaces on the interior of the vehicles. This offers a critical advantage for operational effectiveness and long-term use.

Application Process
Surface Preparation and Masking
The first step is the comprehensive preparation of the surface. This includes the removal of oil, dirt, rust, and other foreign materials. Sandblasting (SA 2.5 standard) is used on metal surfaces to roughen the surface and increase adhesion. Fiber, plastic, or composite surfaces are prepared by sanding and solvent cleaning. Areas not to be coated (headlights, glass, engine, exhaust) are carefully covered with special masking sheets and tapes. If necessary, removable parts such as rims, tires, and mirrors are removed.
Primer Application
Selecting the appropriate primer for the surface is critical for ensuring that the polyurea adheres tightly to the surface. Epoxy or polyurethane primers are preferred for metal surfaces, while special metal primers can also be used. The primer forms the first barrier against corrosion and increases the adhesion of the polyurea.
Polyurea Spray Coating
Polyurea application is carried out using high-pressure and temperature-controlled spray machines. The application thickness is determined according to the intended use of the armored carrier and the threats it will be exposed to. A thickness of 3-5 mm is generally preferred, but thicker applications can be made for the interior volume and chassis base. During application, layers are applied homogeneously, and edges, corners, and joints are covered in detail. After application, the surface should have a smooth and homogeneous appearance.
Top Coat and Feature Addition
After the polyurea application, a UV-resistant topcoat can be applied optionally. This is especially important for vehicles operating in open terrain. Camouflage paint or special patterns can also be applied to the surface. Anti-slip additives (quartz or ceramic-added) can be added to the floor and exterior coating areas. All these processes improve the performance and appearance of the armored carrier.
